Bridgit Mendler lights up the red carpet in a hot lime green dress as she arrives for the NBCUniversal 2015 Golden Globe Awards Party sponsored by Chrysler at The Beverly Hilton Hotel earlier this week in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 22-year-old actress joined her Undateable cast mates later on in the week at the NBC/Universal portion of the 2015 Winter TCA Tour at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.

In case you missed the news, Bridgit will be playing Candace, a new waitress at the bar in the new season. She’s described as “confident and undefeatably optimistic even though life in Detroit often knocks her down.”

Undateable is coming back to NBC on March 17th!

Check out the pictures from both events we’ve added to the gallery below. More to come soon!

“Undateable” is coming back for a second season and its got some fresh meat. The NBC Bill Lawrence series had a stellar freshman season and has been renewed. It will come back on March 17 and actress Bridgit Mendler, star of Disney’s “Good Luck Charlie”, will be joining.

She will be playing Candace, a waitress who is described as “confident and undefeatably optimistic even though life in Detroit often knocks her down.”

“Undatable” is about a group of friends that have deemed themselves undateable. The shows’ cast is made up of stand-up comedians including Chris D’Elia (Whitney) and Brent Morin (Conan) who are actually all friends in real life. Bianca Kajlich also stars. Mendler may be replacing Eva Amurri who played a waitress on the show who briefly dated D’Elia’s character. Brigga Heleen also had a recurring role on the series but is now back on Lawrence’s TBS series “Ground Floor”.

On Thursday, October 30, in Albany, New York, Bridgit Mendler will be taking the stage to perform for her fans on the East Coast. The event is for all ages, and it takes place at the Palace Theatre. She will be doing a special VIP meet and greet with fans, and anyone who takes part will be able to walk away with some amazing Bridgit goodies.

What we’re most excited for, is that Bridgit isn’t the only Disney Channel star performing that night. She’ll be joined by Zendaya, who we can’t wait to see bring her own fierce stylings of music to the stage.

Tickets are available now – you won’t want to miss this chance to see two Disney Channel icons step up to the stage. It’s going to be a night that you’ll remember for years!

Recording artist and former Disney actress Bridgit Mendler (“Good Luck Charlie” and “Wizards of Waverly Place”) has announced, via exclusive video, that she has launched a campaign on the celebrity charity-fundraising digital platform Prizeo.com. Mendler’s campaign seeks to raise awareness and funds for Save the Children, the world’s top independent charity for children in need, and their annual “Make the World Better with a Sweater” holiday initiative.
Fans can participate by going to Prizeo.com/Bridgit. Those who participate in Mendler’s campaign will be entered into a drawing to win the ultimate fan experience: Mendler will fly to the winner, wherever they are in the world, to host a holiday “Make the World Better with a Sweater” party for them and their friends.
“Make the World Better with a Sweater” is Save the Children’s holiday fundraising campaign to give children all around the world a brighter future. On Friday, Dec. 12, they encourage donors to wear a holiday sweater, make a $5 donation and spread the joy by getting friends, family and colleagues involved with extra fundraising activities.
“The holidays are coming up, and this year I want to help spread the giving spirit in a way that is fun and meaningful for me and my fans,” said Mendler. “With this Prizeo campaign, we can support Save the Children’s incredible work, and my fans will have a chance to win a fun holiday party with me in their hometown!”
The grand-prize winner will be chosen at random and notified via e-mail soon after the campaign closes on Nov. 12, 2014. For full contest rules, see the terms and conditions. Prizeo enables stars to maximize the benefits of their social-media platforms on behalf of charities. Recent Prizeo campaigns featuring celebrities like One Direction, Zac Efron, Mark Ruffalo, Will Ferrell, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Samuel L. Jackson, George R.R. Martin, Ed Sheeran, Mariah Carey, and Kobe Bryant have shown the immense power of social media to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes. A 2013 campaign featuring One Direction’s Harry Styles and Liam Payne raised nearly $800,000 for cancer research and prevention programs. Prizeo’s micro-donation model allows fans to donate for chances to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences with their favorite celebrities whose charities benefit from the online campaigns that run live on the site.

Well, it’s better late than never for Bridgit to get recognized for her debut single Ready or Not, which reached platinum status after 1 MILLION copies of the song were sold. Um, yeah, that’s not an easy task, so we know that Bridgit is super happy for this accomplishment. She hit it a while back, but just recently received her platinum record, saying:

It’s never too late to get a platinum plaque! I AM SO EXCITED!!! Thanks to Hollywood Records for giving this to me today :)

Congratulations to Bridgit, we hope the upcoming album will do just as good!

Bridgit Mendler has grown up and moved on to college, but she still relates to that “back to school” spark that strikes every summer. The actress, singer and University of Southern Calfornia student will headline a concert at 4 p.m. Saturday at Tanger Outlets on U.S. 17, near Briarcliffe Acres, then have a meet-and-greet afterward.

That outlet center, as well as its site on U.S. 501 near Carolina Forest, will celebrate with a “KidStyle Tour and Fashion Camp” back-to-school celebration with activities 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Mendler, whose debut album in 2012 included the pop singles “Ready or Not” and “Hurricane,” made 10 minutes fly in a breeze in a phone chat last week while on a family vacation in New Hampshire.

Question | What was your most unforgettable moment or episode from all four years of “Good Luck Charlie,” the series that wrapped up this past spring?

Answer | My favorite episode was the “Battle of the Bands” episode. … I got to sing with the “Good Luck Charlie” family. … We just had so much fun together.

    Q. | In your era at Disney Channel, including “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and thinking about other shows there you watched as a fan – how has Disney Channel evolved just in recent years? I mean, the channel has different blocks of programming for different youth age groups.

    A. | I was really excited to be part of “Good Luck Charlie” because it was a family-oriented show, something aimed for the whole family. Disney does a good job with that. … “Wizards of Waverly Place” also was such a joy to do.

Check out more from the interview she did with myrtlebeachonline.com right here, to find out more about her upcoming album, hobbies and future plans.

For an entertainer in Bridgit Mendler’s position, the greatest opportunity and seemingly single biggest struggle come from the same source: Disney.

It’ll make you famous, as Disney Channel did for Mendler, the 21-year-old former star of the sitcom “Good Luck Charlie.” But it’ll also cause people to wonder whether, outside that mouse-ear-shaped shadow, they should take you seriously.

That question played itself out Saturday night at the Erie County Fair, where Mendler – now a Hollywood Records recording artist – played an hourlong, 14-song set.

My verdict: She’s serious, and those of us watching should be, too. While Mendler doesn’t have the pop presence of, say, a Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez, she possesses an onstage quality they don’t – a personality with some earthiness.

That regular-girl persona emerges in her lyrics and, even more so, her simple presentation: Mendler had a four-piece band (guitar, bass, keys, drums) and no backup dancers, leaving her to command the stage by herself. Wearing dark ankle boots, black-and-white, high-waisted shorts and a patterned crop top, Mendler had no costume changes and, in fact, never left the stage.

But she did vary up the show. Mendler mixed several songs from her 2012 debut album, “Hello, My Name is…,” with a handful of newer works (she’s in the midst of developing her sophomore release) and Sam Smith and Coldplay covers.

In an interview a couple of weeks ago, Mendler told me that aside from the set list itself, she improvises everything in her show: the song introductions, the choreography.

It’s in this creative space that Mendler flourishes.

But should you take her seriously?

Surely. Mendler takes her art seriously. She doesn’t have the in-your-face starpower of certain ex-Disney stars, but that’s OK. With pop comes fizzle. Mendler doesn’t seem to be fizzling out anytime soon. She’s different – and that’s good.
